About Me
I am currently a senior at Eckerd College majoring in environmental studies with a minor in coastal management and an overarching concentration in marine science. Given this background, my past four years have equipped me to convey the information found on this website to others. In many ways, this website embodies the culmination of all four years of my college career and the facets of my interdisciplinary education that I have become most passionate about. This website embodies the need within our current society to tackle climate change issues and our formulation of their solutions from the perspective of the ecological and human realms being interconnected. This topic of merging these two divisions and using this approach to find solutions that benefit each is a long term goal of mine. This final project for my climate change communications course was founded on this concept and dedicated to further imparting this perspective onto others.
What was the goal of this website?
My goal for this website is dual-sided. The academic goal corresponding to the class component of this website is to provide others with a cohesive and accessible resource to understand the prevalent role green infrastructure can play in a sustainable future. Additionally to inspire others to be creative in their pursuit of finding solutions to the consequences of climate change. From a more personal perspective, my goal throughout the creation of this website was to shed light on the interconnectedness of two topics I am passionate about.
